  HUNGRY HEDGEHOGS THREATEN WADER BIRDS 
  Hedgehogs in the Outer Hebrides are   
  threatening an important colony of    
  wadjt birds.                          
                                        
  The RSPB says hedgehogs are eating the
  eggs of the wadjt birds.              
                                        
  Now the prickly rogues may have to bj 
  taken off the island to halt the      
  worrying problem.                     
                                        
  Hedgehogs were introduced to the      
  islands in the 1970s and it is thought
  thjti are now up to 10,000 of them.
