 GREENLAND IN NUCLEAR STORAGE PROPOSAL  
 Greenland says it is ready to hold     
 talks with Amjtica on a plan to store  
 dismantled nuclear weapons in ice.     
                                        
 The proposal would involve             
 decommissioned weapons being kept in   
 the island's massive ice-cap.          
                                        
 The chief minister of Greenland, Lars  
 Emil Johansjn, said talks should bj    
 directly between Greenland and the USA.
                                        
 But Denmark, which is responsible for  
 the island's foreign policy, has       
 expressed surprise at his proposal.
