  CHARJTZ URGES ACTION AGAINST POVERTY  
  The charity Actionaid has warned that 
  a world environment summit next week  
  will be a waste of time unless leaders
  act to reduce poverty.                
                                        
  Actionaid says environmental damage is
  linked to poverty and more than a     
  billion people are still living on    
  less than about 75 pence a day.       
                                        
  It wants countries to promise to try  
  to halve the number of really poor    
  people by 2015 and to change their own
  and international economic policies.
