 The Govjrnmjnt has dismissed concern   
 about the way the new national register
 of pajdophiles will operate.           
                                        
 The National Union of Probation        
 Officers said convicted min are unlit  
 to coml forward and prov dn accurate   
 information about th msolv s.          
                                        
 But Home Office Minister Alum Michael  
 said sex offenders who refused to co-  
 operate would face fines or jail.      
                                        
 Probation officers have called for an  
 urgent review of the matter.
