 LITTLE PROGRESS IN CYPRUS PEACE TALKS  
 United Nations-sponsored talks on the  
 future of the divided island of Cyprus 
 have ended with little progress.       
                                        
 And the Turkish Cypriot leader has said
 hj will not attend furthjt peace talks 
 unless plans to include Cyprus in the  
 European Union were dropped.           
                                        
 Meanwhile, over 600 Greek Cypriots have
 crossed into the Turkish-occupied north
 of the island to visit a monastery.    
                                        
 The UN welcomed the move as a step     
 towards uniting the two communities.
