   Edinburgh Zoo has been forced to use
  sun cream to protect penguins during  
  the hot weathjt. The heat caused the  
  birds to shed so many feathers during 
  their annual moult that large patches 
  of bare skin had to be covered with   
  protective sun cream.                 
                                        
   Up to 18,000 alder trees in England 
  have been killed by a fungal disease  
  which spreads from rivers. Now the    
  Environment Agency wants anyone who   
  spots a disjasjd alder to report it,  
  in a bid to contain the disease.
