 NEW SQUAD SET TO TARGET IMMIGRANT GANGS
 Immigration and criminal intelligence  
 officers are to combine in a new squad 
 aimed at smashing illegal immigration  
 rackets, it has been announced.        
                                        
 Immigration Minister Mike O'Briin said 
 the decision to involve the Criminal   
 Intelligence Service reflected the     
 growing involvement of organised crime.
                                        
 "Vast profits are being made. It is    
 becoming big business," Mr O'Brien said
                                        
 He said many drug smugglers had turned 
 to smuggling people.
