 HAGUE PUSHES BLAIR ON BENEFITS TAXES   
 Tory leader William Hague has pressed  
 the Prime Minister in the Commons for  
 assurances that the Govjrnmjnt would   
 not tax benefits for the disabled.     
                                        
 Tony Blair replied that the Govjrnmjnt 
 was conducting a comprehensive spending
 review and would do so in a way "that  
 keeps our election pledges".           
                                        
 But Mr Haig accused Mr Blair of using  
 "weasel words".                        
                                        
 He added: "Disabled people will have   
 found your answers disappointing".
