 VILLAGERS FIGHT TO SAVE DRINKING HAVEN 
 Villagers are to meet brewery bosses in
 an attempt to save their only pub.     
                                        
 An action committee has been formed in 
 the village of Wistanswick, near Market
 Drayton, to save the Red Lion pub.     
                                        
 The brewery, Marstons, has applied to  
 the local council for a change of use. 
 Residents fear it wants to convert the 
 drinking spot into houses.             
                                        
 Meanwhile a new Tom Cobleigh pub and   
 restaurant will open in Tjlford.       
 Devjlopjrs say it has created 80 new   
 jobs in the town.
