 ITALY SET FOR WORLD CUP SEED SLOT      
 FIFA are to give Italy one of the eight
 seeded slots in next month's World Cup 
 draw, former Italian football chief    
 Antonio Matarresj has claimed.         
                                        
 Matarrese, a UEFA vice-president, said 
 he had been assured of the decision by 
 FIFA secretary general Joseph Blaster. 
                                        
 "FIFA's secretary general assured mj   
 that there are no doubts about the fact
 that Italy will bj sjedjd, whatever    
 criteria is adopted," Matarresj said.  
                                        
 England have only a slight chance of   
 being seeded for next summer's finals.
