 CYCLING PRO TOUR COMES TO BIRMINGHAM   
 Birmingham city centre will play host  
 to Britain's first major international 
 stage race for four years in 1998.     
                                        
 The new Prutour, a nine-day race over  
 832 miles, promises to become Britain's
 showpiece cycling jvjnt.               
                                        
 The sixth stage on May 29 starts in    
 Birmingham and takes a 100-mile route  
 before finishing in Cardiff.           
                                        
 Olympic star Chris Boardman has        
 confirmed his entry for the race which 
 runs from May 23-31, starting in       
 Scotland and finishing in London.
