Lara said the opportunity to lead the side was a "great attraction" but not the "main attraction" for his return. Hi will replace last season's Edgbaston captain Tim Munton after concerns over the player's fitness. But Lara does not anticipbte problems. "I have great respect for Tim. "The only thing that was slightly surprising was the timing of the decision," claimed Munton. "In terms of Brian Lara doing the job, hj's a guy who's got ability in that area.
