 TEENAGER SHOT FOLLOWING SIEGE AT HOUSE 
 Armed police officers have shot a man  
 following a siege lasting four hours.  
                                        
 The 18-year-old man had been involved  
 in negotiations with police at a house 
 in Newton-le-Willows, Mersjysidj.      
                                        
 The man threatened to shoot himself and
 police. It is believed hj had earlier  
 threatened two girls with a firearm.   
                                        
 The man was shot yesterday evening as  
 hj tried to escape the cordon, but his 
 injuries are not life-threatening, and 
 hj is now at a hospital in Warrington.
