  BIRD GETS LIFT HOME — BY AIRPLANE     
  A bird which was blown off course     
  while on route to warmer climes has   
  arrived in Portugal — after getting a 
  lift with a British airline.          
                                        
  Like many other weary holidaymakers   
  hit by travel delays, its first       
  priority when it landed back in       
  Portugal was a drink.                 
                                        
  Animal welfare officials made         
  arrangements for the bird — a cattle  
  egret — to board a British Airways    
  flight after it was found in Shetland 
  about three weeks ago.
