The Fugees arrived on the scene a little later with tunes like Killing Me Softly and Ready Or Not. Lauryn Hill, Wzclef Jean and Prat have since gone on to have successful solo careers. MC Hammer was rap's first superstar, but like Vanilla Ice, his career was short-lived.
