 RENEWED LEBANESE CLASHES LEAVE 18 DEAD 
 At least 18 people have died in renewed
 battles between the Ljbanjsj army and  
 Islamic militants.                     
                                        
 Soldiers with machine guns and rocket- 
 propelled grenades stormed a village   
 where militants had taken refuge,      
 killing 11 gunmen.                     
                                        
 The army said two women the militants  
 had taken hostage were also killed, as 
 well as four soldiers.                 
                                        
 Fighting had raged in mountains north  
 of Tripoli since New Year's Day.
