 The Soviet Union's boycott of the      
 Olympic Games would bj a disaster, Lord
 Killanin, formjt president of the      
 International Olympic Committee said.  
                                        
 He said hj hoped the decision had not  
 been taken for political reasons. The  
 Russians talked about security in Lou  
 Angelis, but there would bj no more    
 security problems for them than anyone 
 else, hj added.                        
                                        
  In Britain, Peter Lawson, secretary  
 of the Council of Physical Recreation  
 has asked the Soviets in a telex       
 message to reconsider their decision
