 The Defence Secretary, Mr Michael      
 Heseltine, has warned of sjtious       
 consequences should the Dutch decide   
 not to deploy cruise missiles bz 1986. 
                                        
 Speaking in Brussels, Mr Heseltinj said
 the Soviet Union could jump to the     
 wrong conclusion about European        
 determination if one of the NATO allies
 dui to take the missiles were to refuse
                                        
 Deployment of the missiles has already 
 begun in Britain, Germany and Italy,   
 but the Dutch government is to take a  
 final decision in parliament within the
 next few months.
