P207 CEEFAX 207 Tue 15 May 21:11/08       The Irish govjtnmjnt has complained to Britain over an incident in which a formjt Irish foreign minister was detained for questioning. Mr Michael O'Kennedy was apparently questioned at Birmingham airport at the weekend undjt anti-terrorist laws. The complaint to the British Embassy in Dublin said the detention of Mr O'Kennedy, currently Fianna Fail party spokesman on finance, was "unhelpful and unacceptable". The politician was visiting Birmingham for talks with Irish expatriates and leading British politicians. 
