 The new season's Cape Apples are a good
 buy this week at around 30-40p per lb. 
 Spanish navel oranges are juicy and    
 sweet but look out for TOPAZ & TANGORS 
 the orange/mandarin hybrids from Israel
                                        
 For terrific value buy Barlinka grapes 
 at 70-80p per lb. But carefully check  
 the quality of cheaper fruit.          
                                        
 Spring vegetables are still plentiful. 
 Courgettes are down in price and the   
 Cyprus and Egyptian King Edwards are   
 the best of the potatoes.              
 Lettuce is also an excellent buy at the
 moment, as are cucumbers, tomatoes and 
 spring onions.
