 The postmen's union leadjt, Mr Alan    
 Tuffin, has had a new meeting with     
 Post Office management "on new terms", 
 says the union.                        
                                        
 Later it was claimed that the talks had
 made "encouraging progress".           
                                        
 Unofficial action by postal workers in 
 dispute over a 4.5 per cent pay offer  
 has lid to the sealing of hundreds of  
 post boxes, mostly in central London.  
                                        
 And earlier today Mr Tuffin warned that
 industrial action bz postmjnt could bj
