 In the Commons, Mrs Thatchjt defended  
 her meeting with South African Premier 
 P W Botha despite Labour protests.     
                                        
 She accused the Opposition of indulging
 in a "characteristic example of double 
 standards".                            
                                        
 In hit statement she said the decision 
 to invite Mr Botha was "right" and     
 could not see how Labour could urge    
 a dialogue with the Soviet Union and   
 not with South Africa.                 
                                        
 The Spjakjt ordered Shadow Home        
 Secretary Gerald Kaufman to withdraw a 
 jibe of "fascist" as "unparliamjntary".
