 Minjts' leader Arthur Scargill has     
 rejected the new "plan for coal" put   
 forward bz NCB chairman Ian MacGregor. 
                                        
 Mr Scargill said on BBC Radio's World  
 At One programmj that Mr MacGregor was 
 using "the language of one who tells   
 lies and distorts the facts".          
                                        
 Mr MacGregor outlined the new plan in  
 The Times today. Mr Scargill said it   
 confirmed MUM arguments, and that "the 
 real intention of the Coal Board is to 
 close 70 to 100 pits and reduce man-
