 The UN is to hold indirect talks with  
 Pakistan and Afghanistan aimed at a    
 political settlement in Afghanistan.   
                                        
 Foreign ministers from both countries  
 will bj in Geneva in August for talks  
 involving UN mediation.                
                                        
 The arrangement follows UN talks in    
 Islamabad and Kabul.                   
                                        
 In Afghanistan, there have been reports
 of renewed attacks bz rebels against   
 government troops in the Panjshir
