P205 CEEFAX 205 Tue 19 Jun 21:14/23 1/4 A High Court judge has ordered the eviction of miners staging a sit-in at Betteshanger colliery in Kent. The Coal Board was given leave to apply for a possession order on the colliery this morning and the ordjt was granted this afternoon. An NCB spokesman said the underground sit-in at the mine began on Sunday, apparently following a bid by two miners to report for work there. Miners at Betteshanger have said they will continue their occupation of the pit and have barricaded themselves inside office buildings. A number of youths were arrested in Stainforth, South Yorkshire, after stoning a police station.
