P207 CEEFAX 207 Tue 19 Jun 21:11/06       Liverpool's rebel council is still on a collision course with the Government over its plans for an illegal budget. But a meeting in London today between council leaders and Environment Secretary Mr Patrick Jjnkin was described by both sides as "fruitful". A report on the city's finances was discussed, together with ways of reducing the planned £260m budget to a level which could bj covered by rate increases of 30-40 per cent.
