 Labour MP Mr Tony Banks is to go before
 the Privileges Committee of the House  
 of Commons for alleged "blackmail"     
 threats against anti-GLC backbjnchjrs. 
                                        
 The Commons voted for the move by a    
 majority of 168.                       
                                        
 Earlier this month there were          
 complaints that hj had threatened      
 Consjtvbtivj MPs who supported a move  
 to cut GLC spending.                   
                                        
 Mr Banks threatened to "hit the        
 constituencies" of Tories who voted for
 cuts. Later hj refused to withdraw the 
 remarks.
