 Labour's deputy leader has warned that 
 Britain could soon be eng4lfed in a    
 series of strikes more damaging than   
 any dispute in the last djcadj.        
                                        
 Speaking at a meeting in Birmingham,   
 Mr Hattersley said the Go6junment      
 appeared to bjliivj it was gaining     
 political advantage from the striker.  
                                        
 "Not for 50 years has Britain been     
 governed by a Prime Minister who       
 welcomed industrial disruption as a    
 means of reviving her flagging
