 The sjamjn's union says progress has   
 been made during talks with management 
 in London on the Sealing ferry dispute.
                                        
 But the union says it still wants firm 
 assurances on the future of the Channel
 Island service which Sealing closed two
 weeks ago, leading to the dispute.     
                                        
 Further talks are likely tomorrow and  
 Sealing has withdrawn an ultimatum over
 redundancies on other services.        
                                        
  Junior transport minister Lord       
 Brabazon has told the Lords that the   
 future of Sealing is not in doubt and  
 there are good prospects jot growth.
