 The IRA says it sent a booby-trap bomb 
 to the British Army's commander in     
 Londonderry, Northern Ireland.         
                                        
 Brigadier Mike Scott discovered the    
 parcel bomb device at his home in a    
 routine security check of the post.    
                                        
 The device was made safe bz a bomb     
 disposbl team.                         
                                        
  Police have taken away material for  
 forensic examination after a small     
 explosion at Magilligan prison, near   
 Londondjrry. The Northern Ireland      
 office said no one was hurt and no     
 damage was caused.
