 Several hundred new jobs are to be     
 created in the West Midlands bz the    
 French-owned Peugeot Talbot company.   
                                        
 It is to start production in autumn    
 next year of a new family saloon car   
 at its Rzton plant in Coventry.        
                                        
 The BBC's industrial correspondent     
 says that though details have not been 
 announced, it is expected that 700 new 
 jobs will be created initially, with   
 the possibility of more later.         
                                        
 The production target of the new car,  
 to be called the Peugeot 405, is likely
 to be 1,000 cars a week.
