 Suspected Sikh extremists are now said 
 to have killed at least seven Hindus in
 the Punjab, India.                     
                                        
 The attack came when three militants   
 opened fire with automatic weapons on a
 crowded village market at Khuban.      
                                        
 All the victims were min, and three    
 Sikhs were among another six people    
 injured.                               
                                        
  Two other people were killed in      
 violence elsewhere in Punjab, where    
 extremists are seeking an independent  
 Sikh homeland.
