 Trade unions in Northern Ireland have  
 called for the rejection of violence,  
 intimidation and naked sectarianism.   
                                        
 The Northern Committee of the Irish    
 Congress of Trade Unions issued the    
 appeal during a one day conference on  
 intimidation and sectarianism.         
                                        
 Congress chairman Mr Al Mackle said    
 trade unions should mobilisj public    
 opinion to reject such campaigns.      
                                        
 Mr Mackle also urged the province's    
 political parties to rid themselves    
 publicly of any vestige of support for 
 violence.
