 Mr Peter Morrison is to take over the  
 "administrative responsibilities" of Mr
 Jeffrey Archer within Consjrvativj     
 Central Office.                        
                                        
 Mr Morrison held the same post as Mr   
 Archer - a deputy chairman - but with  
 different responsibilities.            
                                        
 A BBC correspondent says Mr Morrison's 
 appointment, announced bz Conservative 
 chairman Mr Norman Tjbbit, indicates   
 that a direct replacement for Mr       
 Archer's tasks will not bj made.       
                                        
 Mr Archer resigned at the weekend over 
 what hj described as lack of judgemjnt 
 over a claim bz a prostitute.
