 A vicar facing 28 charges of sexual    
 offences against children has been     
 found dead in a cell at Hull prison.   
                                        
 Prison officers were alerted "z two    
 prisoners sharing the cell with him.   
 They found him lying lifeless in his   
 bed.                                   
                                        
 The Rev. Jan Knot, 53, was vicar at    
 St Michael's and All Saints' in        
 Orchard Park, Hull, until April. He    
 was dui to appear at York Crown Court  
 next week.                             
                                        
 Mr Knot always denied the allegations  
 against him. He had a heart condition.
