 Strathclyde police said this morning   
 they had detained another 16 people,   
 eight of them from Northern Ireland,   
 under the Prevention of Terrorism Act. 
                                        
 This followed the detention of two min 
 under the Act yjsterdaz. The two, aged 
 33 and 30, were said to bj from        
 Northern Ireland.                      
                                        
 Earlier yesterday Dumfries and Galloway
 police released four people detained   
 under the Act.                         
                                        
 They had been held since Friday night  
 when they arrived in Stranraer from    
 Northern Ireland.
