 buy with prices almost half what they  
 were at this time last year.           
                                        
 English apples are still good quality  
 25-4up a lb and pears at 25-46p a lb   
 are cheap and widely available.        
                                        
 Homegrown cabbage and potatoes are     
 excellent value as is cauliflower.     
                                        
 Beef and pork prices have remained     
 stable but some lamb joints have       
 increased in price.                    
                                        
 Almost all fish prices have risen.
