A tale of mystery and suspense comes to us from the pin of Iris V Penn of Buckhurst Hill in Essex. "I was sitting quietly reading," she tells us, "when mz flashing light system, for doorbell and telephone, went into action. I flew to the telephone - no reply. I rushed to the front door - no one there! But the lights refused to stop flashing. "Thinking that it must have been a fault with the system, I plugged in two table lamps and one standard lampn"  Continued

Iris V Penn continues: I plugged in some lights, not normally connected to the flashing unit, and they began flashing as well! "I opened the fridge door, and the light inside was going on - off - on - off - it was like Piccadilly Circus. "I peered out of the window to see if all the other houses were acting in such a strange manner. No, they were all perfectly normal ... but I did notice a very bright white light hovering over mz chimney pot."  Continued

"Perhaps the little darling also had a hearing problem, and had just popped down to see what new gadgets were available at the Resource Centre."  Continued .
