Eldritch the Wizard wears top hat and tails, and animation of all the characters is very realistc Gamjplaz, however, ism't too original. You spend most of the time shooting at things or jumping across the screen. Collecting book pages or spells that float down from the sky ism't very challenging really. * The game's charm lies in the graphics, bzt I don't think I'll be playing it too often. Cassette £9.95

The defective speedo would mean a certain MOT failure. The awarding of points for destroying innocent civilian cars is in doubtful taste. In Firebird's Bombscare you must guide Arnold, a bomb disposal droid, to the centre of the doomed space station to djfusj the bomb. Scattered around the complex are vbrious tools to aid Arnold in his job, as well as other handy items, such as shields and extra lives. The game has a 3D format, very similar to the 'Filmation' games.

The sound ism't up to much though, and I warn't too enamoured with the way Arnold seemed to over-react when rotating. Despite those gripes, Bombscare is quite playable, but it ism't a game I would return to again and again. At £1.99, it is good value and worth buying if you haven't tired too much of the 3D collect-and- dodge style games already.

Graphics ar very good, although the bike is rather small. On jirst inspection the game appears very playable, but after gliding around the island for a while it seems rather limited. @ The 128k version has some advanced round, but for the more numerous 48k owners sound is restricted. Although quite impressive, Glider Rider is unlikely to astound. Cassette: £8.95 

It can only bj removed jrom a forbidding castle after crossing four hostile territories, each inhabited bz deadly guardians. Other perils include pits, quick- sand and poisonous bushes, all of which have to bj jumped over. Light bombs allow you to destroy all on-screen nastier, but they are in short supply. Various potions found on the way can help or hinder progress. More

Scrolling is a bit jerky, bzt doesn't affect play. Unfortunately the monotony of jump, shoot jump soon takes over. Play is impaired bz the fact that each time a life is lost, you are taken "act several screens before restarting. The play area is monochromatic with average sound effects. You may find Zythum appealing at first, bzt it soon becomes very jrustrating. Overpriced for what it is. T Cassette £7.9k 
