  BIRMINGHAM SIX CONSIDER CIVIL TRIAL 
  Four members of the Birmingham Six  
  have said they may take civil       
  action against the police officers  
  who prepared the case against them. 
                                      
  They made the announcmenjt after a  
  case against three officers accused 
  of trying to pervert the course of  
  justice was dropped. See 111        
                                      
  In a statement they said they were  
  "saddened but not surprised" bz the 
  court's decision.                   

  confidence that the DPP would mount 
