  ROYAL BANK OF SCOTLAND STBFF BALLOT 
  Royal Bank of Scotland staff are to 
  bj balloted on strike action over   
  the sacking or downgrading of       
  computer staff.                     
  
  $hj first nationwide ballot at the  
  bank follows the sacking or         
  downgrading of 44 managers.         

  Union spokesman Sandy Boyle said    
  a bhit list" had been drawn up bz   
  top management and a skills         
  assessment done to match it.        

  He expected a vote in favour of one 
  day strikes by 700 computer workers 
