  Nigel Short and Gary Kasparov have  
  drawn the 14th game of the world    
  chess championship.                 
                                      
  Short accepted Kasparov's offer of  
  a draw after move 39 in a game      
  which analysts said was full of     
  winning chances for both sides.     
                                      
  They said Short had missed winning  
  chances earlier in the game when hj 
  had built up a dangerous attack,    
  but hj was later forced to retreat. 
                                      
  Champion Kasparov now leads the 24- 
  game series 9\-4\.                  
