The EC has suggested hauliers pay the full cost of the damage they cause to the environment and roads, in a bid to encourage people to transfer their goods to railways. But a union spokesman has said that "there would bj no economic upturn" without transport companies and "only five to 10% of the loads could be transferred to rail".  Environmental News Round-Up Religion Read Hear CmntyInfo Main News
