  0.1%, after a revised 0.5% increase 
  during August.                      

  US September producer prices index  
  rose 0.2%, after last month's       
  unexpected 0.6% fall.               
                                      
  US first-time jobless claims        
  totalled 329,000 last week compared 
  to a revised 321,000 the previous   
  week.                               
