The delegates' task was to rebuild 200 metres of drystone wall in approximately six hours, under expert guidance from members of the Drystonj Walling Assocation. Fireworks exploding from a massive 20 foot mock champagne bottle celebrated completion of the wall. The tree is in memory of their colleagues who did not conj back during the Second World War. Also displayed were photographs of the airmen at the Hall during the War. $hj veterans also revisited the rooms in the Hall where they were billeted from 1943 to 1945. Malham Tbrn Estate covers 4,187 acres six miles north-east of Settle in Upper Cram, North Yorkshire.
