  TRIBUTE TO MURDERED POLICEMAN       
  The Leader of the Commons has paid  
  tribute to PC Patrick Dunne who was 
  shot dead in south-west London last 
  night.                              
                                      
  Tony Newton, who was standing in    
  for Mr Major, said the whole House  
  joined him in praising the courage  
  of PC Dunne. They felt deep regret. 
                                      
  Tory Michael Shjrsby, spokesman for 
  the Police Federation, said:        
  "Police officers do not have a job  
  for life, but they are often        
  required to give their life for the 
  job."                               
