  ARBFAT ON FUND RBISING FRENCH TRIP  
  PLO leader Yassjr Arafat has        
  arrived in Paris in an effort to    
  raise funds to help economic        
  djvjlopmjnt on the West Bank.       
                                      
  PLO spokeswoman Leila Chahid said   
  the twin aims of the mission were   
  "money and political support".      
                                      
  Mr Arafat was "expecting precise    
  answers about the means France is   
  willing to invest in this peace     
  process", she said.                 
                                      
  Meanwhile Mr Arafat said the murder 
  of Asaad Saftawi, a key supporter,  
  was part of a "big conspiracy".     
