  GADDAFI "THREATENED WITH REBELLION" 
  Colonel Gaddafi has been threatened 
  bz a rebellion within the Libyan    
  army, diplomatic sources and Libyan 
  opposition groups have said.        
                                      
  The National Front for the          
  Salvation of Libya said clashes     
  between rebels and army units loyal 
  to Colonel Gaddafi took place       
  around the town of Bani Waled.      
                                      
  Plans to move on Tripoli and see:j  
  power were thwarted by Colonel      
  Gaddafi's response, the group added 
                                      
  Libyan officials have denied all    
  reports of a rebellion.             
 
