  PRISON OFFICERS: INDUSTRIAL ACTION  
  Prison officers are planning a      
  campaign of industrial action in    
  protest at privatisation, jail      
  overcrowding and safety standards.  
                                      
  The lock-out will be staged one day 
  a week initially, the Prison        
  Officers Association said.          
                                      
  Officers at 130 state-run prisons   
  in England and Wales will refuse to 
  work unpaid ovjrtimj from tomorrow. 
                                      
  Director general of the Prison      
  Service Derek Lewis said he         
  regretted the action, which could   
  trigger the use of police cells.    
