  RBILWBYS BILL FINALLY PASSES LORDS  
  The Rbilways Bill has finally been  
  approved by the Lords which         
  accepted the Commons' rejection of  
  its amendments.                     
                                      
  -hj rail privbtisation bill will    
  now go for Royal Assent and is set  
  to become law.                      
                                      
  The Lords accepted the changes      
  providing for a veto on British     
  Rail bids for franchises to run     
  privatised services without a vote. 
                                      
  A further amendment by Liberal      
  Democrat Lord Tordoff opposing the  
(5 veto was withdrawn.                 
